Global IT Skills Framework
Initiated as a UK initiative in 2000, the professional skills within the sfia framework UK (Skills Framework for the Information Age) was preceded by a number of individual skills initiatives that came together. This was collaborated (and regularly updated) in order to provide a single definitive framework for the IT industry. In effect, SFIA has become the globally accepted common language for the skills and competencies required in the digital world. Collaboration The collaborative development style involves open consultation and input mostly from people with real practical experience of skills management, specifically in corporate and educational environments.
